CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- James River and Cosby needed this game to strengthen their position in the 6A South playoff race with just the top eight advancing.  Rapids running back William Noble proved to be a little too much for the Titans defense as he rushed for 204 and three touchdowns in the 38-21 win over Cosby.

The Rapids trailed 14-10 at halftime but started the 2nd half with a bang behind an 88 yard kickoff return for a touchdown by Tarell Brand to take a 17-14 lead.  Noble would score his three touchdowns after intermission and provided a cushion for a defense that would limit Cosby to just 105 yards in the second half; 73 of which came on a Grant Squyars touchdown pass.

James River improves to 5-3 with the win and Cosby drops to 4-4 on the year.
