ASHLAND, Va. -- Police continue to ask for the public's help to find a 17-year-old girl  who went missing from her home in Ashland more than three weeks ago.

Ashland Police said Tahjaia Corum Hill, who was last seen Wednesday, Sept. 28, phoned home on Saturday, Oct. 15, and said she was not under any coercion or duress.

"Even though Ms. Hill has been in communication and there is no evidence of foul play, she is still considered missing and her family and the Ashland Police Department are concerned with her well-being," Ashland Police spokesman Officer Chip Watts said.

Officials previously said Tahjaia has a history of being a runaway and has not been spotted since she left her home on Sept. 28.

Hill is described as a black female, 4 feet 11 inches tall and weighing about 250 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes, and has a nose piercing. She was last seen wearing a black halter top and black shorts.

Anyone with information about Tahjaia was asked to call 804-730-6140 or 804-798-1227.
