HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — Police arrested a Henrico teenager accused of carjacking a driver on West Broad Street.
Jermaine Lee Leslie Jr., 18, of Henrico, was charged with robbery and carjacking following his arrest Monday.
Leslie Jr. was accused of using a knife during the crime which was reported to have occurred in a parking lot along the 7100 block of West Broad Street, near Glenside Drive, at about 10 p.m. on Monday, October 10.
“The victim reported being approached in the parking lot of a business by a black male who displayed knife. The suspect demanded personal property from the victim including keys,” a Henrico Police spokesperson said. “The suspect then stole the victim’s car and fled the scene. There were no injuries reported.”
An investigation by Henrico Police led officers to develop Leslie as the suspect.
