2 children shot in Mosby Court; officers find car with windows shot out

RICHMOND, Va. – Police are searching for a shooter after two children were shot in the city’s Mosby Court public housing neighborhood Saturday night.

Police were called to Coalter and Redd streets around 8:15 p.m. for a report of a person shot.

Officers on the scene said that two juveniles, who were not the intended targets, were caught in the crossfire.

The male and female victims were taken to an area hospital with injuries described as not life-threatening.

Police said they located the vehicle, a white car, believed to have been involved in the shooting, but are still searching for the suspect.

Additionally, WTVR CBS 6 Photojournalist Chris Jenkins said the driver’s side backseat window of a maroon car was shot out.
