The Manchester Lancers are the 4th different team to sit atop our CBS 6/Fox Sports 910 high school coaches poll this year. If they want to stay in that spot, they will have to do something they have not yet accomplished as a program: knock off Hermitage. This is a meeting between two of the longest-tenured coaches at their respective schools. Tom Hall is in his 18th year at Manchester while this is Patrick Kane's 16th year at Hermitage

RECORDS: (1)Manchester 6-0  (5)Hermitage 5-1

LAST WEEK: Manchester def. Midlothian 54-26 Hermitage def. Deep Run 42-13

SERIES: Hermitage leads 2-0. Last meeting 2015: Hermitage 44-25

ON AIR: Fox Sports 910 with Gary Hess and Gary Criswell. Pregame at 6:30, Kickoff at 7:00

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: The Lancers got a school record 296 passing yards last week from Brandon Clarke and Frank Boyd has scored 14 touchdowns through 6 games. They are the top rated team in 6A South, a full point ahead of Colonial Forge.

After their season opening loss to Highland Springs, Hermitage has not given up more than 15 points to any opponent, while averaging almost 42 points per game in their 5 game win streak. QB Woody Winborn had 4 total touchdowns last week against Deep Run while throwing for 230 yards and running for another 130.

QUOTEABLE: Tom Hall, Manchester head coach: "We're very similar.  We're very similar on offense.  You know we run a lot of the same plays.  We do a couple things differently...here and there.  But what Hermitage does is they do everything the right way"

Patrick Kane, Hermitage head coach: "From one standpoint both defenses kind of know what they get going after it.  Where we are different is on the defensive side.  They have a new scheme this year.  They bring a lot of pressure. So that's something more that we have to adjust to from what we had in years past."
