Woman wanted in Richmond convenience store robbery

RICHMOND, Va. – Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a woman wanted for the robbery of a Richmond convenience store early Tuesday morning.

Detectives say the robbery happened at the Fas Mart at 2107 Semmes Ave. shortly before 1 a.m.

The suspect reportedly approached the store clerk with her hand, covered in a scarf and demanded money.

“When the clerk realized the suspect did not have a weapon, she pushed the suspect’s hand away and called police,” investigators say. “The suspect then took several packs of cigarettes and fled Eastbound on foot toward Cowardin Avenue.”

The suspect is described as a black female approximately 40-50 years old with short dark hair. She is around 5’6” tall, and weighs approximately 145-150 pounds.

She was seen wearing a black scarf, black jacket, blue jeans, and tan colored boots.
