RICHMOND, Va. — Hoping to tap into another thirsty Virginia market, Richmond’s oldest brewery is expanding into the belly of Hampton Roads.

The new outpost will take shape in the Seaboard Coastline Building at 1 High St., a company news release said. The building is a historic train station that sits along the Elizabeth River in Olde Towne Portsmouth that is owned by an affiliate of the Monument Cos., a Richmond-based developer.
Legend plans to renovate the first floor of the historic structure – recreating a smaller version of its Manchester home base. The full-service brewpub will be situated near the south landing ferry on High Street, and will seat about 120 people.
