RICHMOND, Va. -- Hurricane Matthew will track along the South Carolina coast Saturday, and the storm will continue to send rain up into our area as a cold front approaches from the west.

We will see periods of rain, heavy at times, today into tonight.

Highs will be in the upper 60s and lower 70s.  Wind speeds will pick up later today through Sunday with some gusts in the metro over 30 mph possible, and over 45 mph near the coast.

Rainfall amounts will exceed an inch in Richmond, but may surpass over 4″ closer to the North Carolina border and into Hampton Roads.

Rain will taper off Sunday morning and we will see rapid clearing by midday or early afternoon.  Skies will be sunny during the afternoon with highs in the upper 60s.

Winds will be gusty throughout the day.
