PETERSBURG, Va. -- Across from the Historic Petersburg Courthouse, which survived the Seige of Petersburg and a constant Union bombardment during the Civil War, now sits the city's newest business, a boutique hotel.

Nestled in a circa 1850 building is the The Jury’s Inn.

Owner Victoria Revilla has watched over the last year as her dream became a reality. Thursday Morning others shared in her vision as a Ribbon Cutting took place.

The historic building and its new addition sit on Sycamore Street just a block from Old Towne Petersburg and its eclectic mix of restaurants and shops.

"I think the entrepreneurs in town are the ones that are keeping the City going," said Revilla. "I was the President of the Arts Council for nine years and we brought Friday for the Arts every Friday and we still continue to do it and we've still been doing it for the past 14 years."

Next week Revilla will get to officially open her first three rooms.

Her next goal is to finish three additional rooms.

She also plans to live full-time in the new addition, when it is completed.
