RICHMOND, Va. — Reverend Jesse Jackson will be in the City of Richmond Tuesday to campaign for Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine, and to help register voters at Virginia Commonwealth University.

This comes on the same day Vice Presidential candidates, Tim Kaine and Mike Pence, will square off in the first VP debate at Longwood University.

Jackson will join local student volunteers at VCU and discuss the importance of the 2016 election. Jackson will also highlight Clinton and Kaine’s belief in an “inclusive America that is stronger together.”

Jackson will urge Richmond voters to get ready by registering to vote ahead of the October 17 deadline or checking their registration status at IWillVote.com.

The campus event will be held on the student Compass, in front of James Branch Cabell Library, at 10:30 a.m.
