CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. – Chesterfield Police are investigating reports of assaults by several juvenile male students at Manchester high school over the past month.

Investigators say some of the alleged victims are members of one of the school's athletic teams.

Police said they are investigating a report that known juvenile males assaulted, struck and at times and tickled other male students who are known to them.

At this point, police said their investigation indicates at least one male student was touched inappropriately over his clothing by other male students who are known to him.

There have been no charges filed at this time and police are still investigating.

Chesterfield County School Spokesperson Shawn Smith says initial disciplinary measures were taken by the school last week and their investigation continues.

"The safety and security of our students and staff is a top priority. The school division continues to work with Chesterfield Police regarding information shared about several students at Manchester High School. Initial student disciplinary measures were taken over a week ago by the school and the investigation continues."
