CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. — Emily Dowdle, 11, was last seen Tuesday afternoon after she got off a Catawba County school bus and walked home, officials told WSOC.

The bus driver saw the Catawba Elementary School student walk toward the back of her home, which was normal, according to police.  When Emily’s mom got home about 15 minutes later, she couldn’t find her daughter, police said. After a quick search of the area, she called police.

Dowdle was described as 4 feet 11 inches tall, with long, light-brown hair, hazel eyes, and wearing black-framed glasses. She was last seen wearing a pink shirt and capri jeans.

Anyone with information was asked to call Catawba County Sheriff’s Department at 828-464-3112 and ask for Chief Duane Cozzen or Brandon Styers.
