HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- Hundreds of people took part in two events to raise money and raise awareness about diabetes in Henrico County Saturday morning.
More than 450 people took part in the RVA Tour De Cure Family Fun Ride and the Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetesat Innsbrook Pavilion to support the Central Virginia American Diabetes Association.
After the ride and walk there was food, fun and entertainment for the entire family.
The event raised more than $115,000 for educational programs, research and advocacy initiatives.
CBS 6 anchor Bill Fitzgerald took part in the bike ride and CBS 6 anchor Candace Burns emceed the walk.
