Suspect wanted in LensCrafters theft in South Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. -- Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a man who stole several eyeglass frames from a LensCrafters store in South Richmond.

Investigators say the incident happened at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 15. Police say the suspect entered the LensCrafters store at 9200 Stony Point Parkway and stole the items when store employees were distracted by other customers.

The suspect is described as a bald, black male who stands 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 200-230 pounds.

At the time of the incident, he was wearing a white polo shirt, blue jean shorts and white sneakers.

Detectives ask anyone with any information about this man’s identity to call Third Precinct Detective Eric Sandlin at (804) 646-1010 or Crime Stoppers at 780-1000. Citizens can also text Crime Stoppers at 274637, using the key word “ITip” followed by your tip. Both Crime Stoppers methods are anonymous.
