CHESTERFIELD, Va. -- A man was hospitalized after an overnight shooting. Chesterfield Police continued their search for the gunman.
A 22-year-old man called 911 around 1:20 a.m. Sunday and told dispatchers he had been shot.
First responders found the victim at the Irongate Shopping Center off Iron Bridge Road a short time later.
Paramedics took the man to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, no word on his condition.
While the victim was found in the shopping center, investigators said the shooting happened somewhere else.
Chesterfield Police expect to release more information later Sunday, but say the shooting was not random.
