RICHMOND, Va. -- The Final Score Friday Game of the Week for Week 4 is top ranked L.C. Bird Skyhawks hosting number #5 Manchester Lancers.

Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. You can listen in live on FoxSports 910 with Gary Hess and Gary Criswell and watch highlights at 11:15 p..m. on Final Score Friday.

Records:

L.C. Bird (3-0)  Manchester (2-0)

Last week:

Bird shutout Midlothian 62-0. Manchester beat Huguenot 48-0.

Inside the numbers:

Over the last decade, the Skyhawks have only lost 13 times. Of the 13 losses, three teams account for eight defeats. (Meadowbrook - three, Hermitage - three, Manchester - two)

Quoteable:

Tom Hall, Lancers head coach: "We've been very fortunate the few times that we've beat them to have one more play than they did. Two years ago, we beat them on a Hail Mary because we had one more play. I've told my kids, this is the best team we will face all year. Bird is always the measuring stick."

Dave Bedwell, Skyhawks head coach: "They (Manchester) have a good football team. They always have good numbers and they're well coached. It's always something that you can look forward to as a big game. It gets you in the playoff mode and lets you know where you stand. That's always a positive early in the season."

Players to watch:

The Skyhawks have two of the best linebackers in the state in seniors Rayshard Ashby and Isaiah Moore.

They are each ranked among the top 30 players in the state and have each committed to play in the ACC next year.

Since the beginning of last year, Bird has not allowed more than a touchdown to all but one of their opponents, and these two are a big reason why.
