Prince George Police also responded to the scene and are investigating the death. Riverside Regional Jail has initiated an internal investigation into the death as required by policy.

Investigators say Darr-Morse’s cause of death is unknown at this time, but it appears to be of natural causes.

The Office of Chief Medical Examiner will determine the official cause of death.

Darr-Morse arrived at the facility on September 14 at 12:09 p.m. She was committed by Chesterfield Circuit Court after violating her felony probation. She received probation after being convicted on multiple drug charges earlier this year.
