STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. -- The attorney for Florida teenage Malachi "Dr. Love" Love-Robinson told reporters after a Wednesday hearing that his client maintained his innocence. Malachi Love-Robinson, 19, of West Palm Beach, Florida, was arrested last week at a Stafford, Virginia car dealership on three attempted fraud charges.

Detectives said the teenager attempted to use a distant relative's credit card and information to purchase a $35,000 Jaguar. Love-Robinson told the car salesmen he was a doctor.

While Love-Robinson's bond hearing was scheduled to take place Wednesday morning at the Stafford County Courthouse, his attorney George Marzloff withdrew the motion.

"His Florida bond has been revoked and based on my experience there's virtually no chance that Virginia would grant him a bond under those are circumstances," Marzloff said.
"His demeanor is fine. He's a little disappointed that we weren't able to go along with the bond hearing."

Love-Robison was arrested last month in Florida, while out on $18,000 bail, for grand theft and fraud charges. He left jail after that August arrest after he paid a $8,000 in bail.

In February, authorities in West Palm Beach, Florida carried out an operation in which an undercover officer visited Love-Robinson's office, according to a statement from the sheriff's office.

Love-Robinson physically examined the officer and provided medical advice, said the statement, which detailed a nearly two-week investigation that culminated in his arrest.

A judge denied Love-Robinson bond on his Virginia charges. Marzloff said it was unlikely Love-Robinson would be extradited to Florida until his Virginia case was resolved.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for November 18.
