Crash on I-95 in Richmond causes 7 mile traffic backup

RICHMOND, Va. – A car accident on Interstate 95 south in Richmond has caused a massive traffic backup during rush hour Tuesday.

The seven mile backup is begins near Franklin St. or mile marker 74.

There is currently no travel lanes closed, but the off-ramp to Franklin St. (Exit 74B) is currently narrowed. VDOT is warning drivers to expect delays.

There is no word on the severity of the crash at this time.
