7 West End robberies in 14 days linked

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- Henrico Police believe one man is responsible for seven businesses robberies over the last 14 days.

The robberies, which include one at the Stuffy's Sub shop in Gayton Crossing and one at a convenience store near West Broad Street and Springfield Road, are concentrated in the West End.

"The suspects’ actions and description lead detectives to believe the above robberies are related," Henrico Police spokesman Lt. Chris Garrett said. "He usually wears a baseball cap or some other covering on his head, dark clothes, and obscures his face. He is either armed with a handgun or acts if he has one."

Police described the suspects has a "light-skinned male, approximately 6’ tall and 180-200 lbs."

Here are the dates and locations of the linked robberies:

August 31 – 1500 block of East Ridge Road

September 3 - 9500 block of Huron Avenue

September 5 - 9700 block of Gayton Road

September 7 – 1400 block of Blue Jay Lane

September 8 – 7300 block of W. Broad Street

September 9 – 2100 block of Dickens Road

September 12 – 4000 block of Innslake Drive
