RICHMOND, Va. -- Police said a teenage girl is facing charges after she led an officer on a chase across the Richmond-Henrico line and crashed her car into a home, Wednesday morning.

Henrico County Police Sergeant J.O. Alley said an officer stopped the girl for a traffic violation at the corner of Magnolia Street and Mechancsville Turnpike around 6:15 a.m.

During the stop, Alley said the girl wouldn't give the officer identification and then sped off.

The officer chased after the Nissan Altima, but stopped the pursuit once inside Richmond city limits.

Alley said the driver lost control on wet pavement on Magnolia Street and 1st Street and crashed into the porch of a home.

The teenager was arrested under a porch several houses away. Three passengers inside the Nissan suffered minor neck and back pain and were treated at the hospital.

No one inside of the home was injured.
