RICHMOND, Va. -- Police and fire crews responded to an accident Tuesday morning on Riverside Drive.
The accident occurred just after 11 a.m. on Riverside Drive at 30th Street, in the Woodland Heights neighborhood.
A vehicle went down the embankment and could barely be spotted from the road, coming to a stop in a dense thatch of brush.
Police said that the vehicle ran off the road, and one person has been taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
This stretch of Riverside Drive runs parallel to the Buttermilk Trail and the James River. The road is curvy and often flush with embankment, with no guardrail.
