HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- Labor Day is a holiday held in honor of working people across the country, but not everyone gets to take a day off -- So Olive Garden treated first responders who put their lives on the line every day with a free lunch.

First responders at Henrico's Fire Station 10 was one of the local groups who received a free lunch catered by the restaurant chain for their dedicated service to the community.

Olive Garden says more than 800 locations across the country thanked police officers, fire fighters and EMTs for their hard work by delivering them meals Monday.

This is the 15th year in a row that Olive Garden has done this as a thank you to first responders nationwide.

The company says they have delivered more than 10,000 meals served from 2002 to 2016.
