Man shot in ankle after early morning altercation at Richmond hotel

RICHMOND, Va. — A man is recovering from non-life-threatening injuries after being shot in the ankle early Monday morning.

Around 5:30 a.m., on Sept. 5, Richmond Police said there was an altercation between two people in the parking lot of the Sunrise Motel. The building is in the 3600 of Jefferson Davis Highway.

One man was shot in the ankle, police said.

He has been treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The Richmond Police Department have asked any witnesses to call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
