RICHMOND, Va. -- Even though Hermine is well offshore, it remains close enough to influence water levels at the coast.
The forecast track will keep Hermine in the same general area until later in the week.
The Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula will experience tidal flooding into Tuesday.
A coastal flood advisory is in effect, and water levels during high tide will be 1 to 2.5 feet above normal. This will keep the threat of minor to moderate coastal flooding. Occasional wind gusts of over 30 mph will be possible into Monday.
As the storm tracks more to the northeast by the end of the week, the water levels will slowly return to normal.
