Man fighting for his life after shooting in South Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. -- A man is fighting for his life after being shot multiple times in South Richmond Wednesday evening.

Police said around 7:10 p.m. they received a call for shots fired in the 2300 block of Warwick Rd. When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the torso.

The victim has been taken to VCU Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Police did not have any information about a possible suspect at this time. Detectives are still investigating.
