WESTMINSTER, Colo. — A Colorado woman’s video of her ultrasound appointment has been seen more than 2.9 million times.

What made the appointment so endearing to millions of strangers?

Taylor Masilotti found out the gender of her unborn baby in her mother’s hospital bed as her mother was in the final days of her battle with cancer.

On July 28, Masilotti asked for prayers for her mother and said she had been fighting Stage 4 brain and lung cancer for almost two years.

“You are a true fighter and I am so proud of how hard you have fought! Your strength is a true inspiration!” Masilotti wrote.

The next day, Masilotti posted a video of herself lying in bed with her mother as they found out that Masilotti’s baby will be a girl.

“Wednesday afternoon was one of my forever favorite memories I got to share with my mom. I got to lay next to her, hold her hand and cry happy tears while we found out the gender of the baby. I can’t thank the hospital enough for allowing this to happen. For allowing me to create my last memory with my mom!! I am forever grateful!” Masilotti wrote.

Three days later, Masilotti shared that her mother had died and shared the name of her unborn baby — Stella.

She called her mother “Stella’s angel” and posted a photo of both their hands on her belly.

Masilotti’s video has been watched 2.9 million times and shared more than 27,700 times in the past month.
