Two teens charged after destructive escapade at Chesterfield Health Dept.

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — Police have charged two juvenile suspects in relation to a  vandalism reported on Aug. 1, 2016, to the Chesterfield Health Department and an adjoining construction site at 9501 Lucy Corr Circle.

The crime occurred sometime between July 31 and August 1.

The health department building and a construction site behind it were vandalized.

The charged suspects had driven a bulldozer around the site, striking and damaging buildings, equipment and other items, according to police. A tractor was driven into a water-filled ditch, and windows on it and other pieces of equipment were broken.

In the health department building, a glass door, several windows and several glass ceiling panes were broken.

Through investigation, detectives identified two juvenile male suspects.

On Aug. 9, a 15-year-old male was charged with breaking and entering and two counts of felony vandalism in relation to the incident.

On Aug. 23, a 14-year-old male was charged with breaking and entering and two counts of felony vandalism in relation to the incident. The two juveniles were released to the custody of their parents.
