RICHMOND, Va. — A suspect has been apprehended in a fatal shooting at a motel on Richmond’s Southside in June.
Richmond police said 23-year-old Brian L. Marshall of the 5500 block of Hansdale Road in Chesterfield County was arrested Wednesday. He was charged with conspiracy to commit murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Police were called to the Midlothian Inn at the 6523 Midlothian Turnpike for a report of random gunfire on June 3 at 9:42 p.m.
Officers discovered 25-year-old Paige E. Johnson wounded one of the rooms. She was pronounced dead a short time later.
