POWHATAN COUNTY, Va. — Authorities are asking the public to be on the lookout for a 17-year-old teen from Powhatan County who vanished 20 days ago and is now considered endangered.

Officials said Candice Gomness, who was reported missing Friday, Aug. 5, is considered endangered since she does not have access to the multiple medications she is prescribed.

Gomness is described as a white female, 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 135 pounds. She has shoulder length brown hair and green eyes.

Officials said Gomness has multiple scarring on both arms.

“It is believed that she left the residence on her own free will and it is unknown who she may be traveling with,” an official with the Powhatan Sheriff’s Office said.
