NORFOLK, Va. - A pair of best friends won a $1 million Virginia Lottery prize!

Jennifer Molina and Lucinda Britt played the Bank a Million game together and ended up winning the top prize after their ticket matched all six numbers.

The ticket was actually bought by Britt’s brother for them. He also happens to be Molina’s fiancée. The numbers they selected were a combination of family birthdays.

Their winning numbers were 11-14-22-24-28-38.

“He started screaming, ‘We’ve got the numbers! We’ve got the numbers!’” Britt recalled. “I thought he was going to have a heart attack. I jumped off the bed and nearly did a cartwheel.”

The ticket was bought at Smoke Shack in Norfolk. The store receives a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

On Wednesday, the million-dollar friends received their check from the Virginia Lottery.

They have been friends for about ten years and enjoy playing the the lottery together. They said they will split the $1 million prize and save most of it for their children.
