Police arrest suspect in Wells Fargo bank robbery

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — Police have arrested the man wanted in connection with a bank robbery at a Wells Fargo in July.

65-year-old George Dewayne Stagg was arrested and charged with robbery Friday morning in connection to the incident.

At approximately 4:00 p.m. on July 15, Henrico Police responded to the Wells Fargo bank in 2400 block of Staples Mill Road for a commercial robbery.

A victim reported that Stagg entered the business, approached the counter, and demanded cash. The victim complied and Stagg fled the business on foot.

No one was injured during the robbery.
