RICHMOND, Va. -- Teams hit the James River for a good cause Saturday morning for the Walgreens International Dragon Boat Races.
Teams of 20, made up of ten women and ten men, piled into the special boats at Rockets Landing to race the 500 meters to the finish line.
Forty-two teams signed up to battle it out on the water for bragging rights.
Money raised from the event goes to Sportable, an organization that helps physically disabled people play sports.
And we’re happy to report, the CBS 6 team placed first place in the media competition and in our time trail.This is the second year in the row we placed in the competition bringing home trophies.
