HENRICO COUNTY, Va. – Police are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that happened early Saturday morning in Henrico County’s West End.

Henrico police said a 16-year-old Roy Franklin Woolwine Jr. was killed after his car ran off the road and hit a tree on Westham Parkway, just north of Pinetree Road, around 2:15 a.m.

Cosby said the teen was the only person in the car.

Woodwine's friends showed up at the crash scene Saturday and Sunday trying to come to grips with the tragedy.

Police said speed was a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
