CHESTERFIELD, Va. – Chesterfield County Police believe two robberies could be connected and that someone watching may be able to help solve these crimes.

The first bank robbed was on July 27, in Colonial Heights and the second was August 4, in Chesterfield, near River’s Bend.

The pictures of suspects involved in both robberies look similar.

"Just somebody with a bonnet, looked like on , and flip flops and it was like, I don't know, the attire was a little weird for the time of the day,” said Tyron Grammer, owner of Epic Touch.

Just a few doors down from his salon is the Bank of McKenney.

Chesterfield County Police said a black female wearing a black and red checkered shirt and dark pants walked in just before 4 p.m. Thursday. She had on sunglasses and a black covering over her head.

Grammer said that suspect walked past him, towards the bank.

"It just surprised me, something like that would happen in this area,” he said.

The suspect in the Commonwealth Bank robbery, in Colonial Heights, was described as a black female, six feet tall.

The description was of a woman wearing a red and black plaid shirt, blue apron, black head cover, sunglasses and a white surgical mask.
