HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — A Henrico man has been arrested and charged in connection with the April murder of Shaun Bernard Johnson, 35, in an Eastern Henrico driveway.
Jarvis Bacola Williams, 47, of Henrico, has been charged with first degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and possession of firearm by convicted felon.
The April 29 shooting happened around 8:30 p.m. in the 1100 block of Old Williamsburg Road in Sandston not far from the Richmond International Airport.
Police sources said officers discovered Johnson shot to death in a car in the driveway of a home.
Neighbors described hearing five or six gunshots. They said Johnson was visiting a friend who lives at the home and children were inside at the time of the shooting.
“We heard gunshots and as soon as we heard them I told the kids to get down cause we didn’t know what was going on,” Marjorie Brittain said.
At the time of the murder, family members confirmed Johnson was a father to several young children.
