BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. — Timothy Kilpatrick, an 18-year-old man with autism, was found alive at about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office. Kilpatrick was taken to the hospital for evaluation.

Investigators have not yet said where Kilpatrick was found, nor what he had been doing since he was last seen on Sunday.

They plan to discuss the search for and discovery of Kilpatrick at a press conference later Wednesday morning.

Kilpatrick cannot talk due to his autism, investigators said.

Prior to his discovery, Kilpatrick was last seen walking away from his home on Sunday afternoon.
