Man wanted for allegedly sexually assaulting woman in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. — Detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify and locate a man who is believed to have sexually assaulted a woman in Richmond Wednesday morning.

Police said officers responded to a sexual assault call around 4 a.m. in the 00 block of West Broad Street.

The victim reported that she was walking home when she noticed an unknown black man following her. She said a short time later, the suspect approached and assaulted her.

The suspect was seen wearing a black top, blue jeans, black hat, black glasses, and holding a blue umbrella.
