RICHMOND, Va. -- Two crimes on West Cary Street are under investigation by Richmond Police.  Detectives initially determined the crimes were not committed by the same people.

The first crime was reported at about 9 p.m. Monday at a home along the 1300 block of West Cary Street, between South Randolph Street and South Brunswick Street.

In that crime, three people, one armed with a gun, made their way into a victim's home.

Once inside, the suspects stole items from the home.

About four hours later, three suspects approached two men who were getting off of work in Carytown.

Those suspect robbed the workers and ran away. Again, no one was physically hurt.

The second crime was reported at 12:45 a.m. in the 3100 block of West Cary Street, near South Belmont Avenue.

In the second crime, like the first one, a single suspect carried a gun.
