Jake Burns surprises family with free admission to Kings Dominion

DOSWELL, Va. -- Summer can be an expensive time for families with family vacations, back-to-school expenses, and amusement parks.

So Jake Burns decided to hit the road, and with help from Union Bank and Trust, help a family about to spend the day together at Kings Dominion.

Jake surprised Richard and his family from Amhurst County, Virginia right as they were about to pay for admission into the park.

“We do thing called CBS 6 Gives, I don’t know if you’ve heard of it,” he said. “We’d love to buy your tickets today is that OK with you.”

“What do I have to do,” said Richard.

“You just gotta be nice to somebody else,” Jake replied. “What do you say.”

Richard and his family happily accepted.

“That’s awesome. We love it. This is great. Thank you!” Richard said before enjoying the park with his family.
