RICHMOND, Va. -- High temperatures both Sunday and Monday afternoons will reach the mid and upper 90s, with some isolated 100° readings possible.  With the humidity, the heat index (or "feels like" temperatures) will exceed 105° in many spots.

A heat advisory is in effect into Sunday evening for the metro, southern and eastern Virginia.  This advisory will likely be expanded to cover much more of the state on Monday since temperatures will be a degree or two hotter.

A cold front will bring more clouds and the threat for scattered storms across the state on Tuesday, and this should cause highs to be a few degrees lower.  High temperatures Wednesday through the end of the week will be in the lower 90s.  It looks like we may actually get highs to drop into the upper 80s for part of next week.
