RICHMOND, Va. — Hundreds are without power after a car slammed into a power pole early Sunday morning.
The single vehicle accident happened around 1 a.m. on Broad Rock Road. Police say that the driver of the vehicle was taken to VCU Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver also faces charges in the accident, though the exact charges are unknown at this time.
Dominion Power crews are on scene working to restore power to over 300 people in the area affected by the accident and expect to have the outage fixed by 12 p.m.
