NORFOLK, Va. — Police working to figure out who killed a man found in Lafayette Park, near the Virginia Zoo, Monday morning.
“Police were called to the 3500 block of Granby Street for a man lying on the ground unconscious and not breathing. When police arrived, they discovered the man with an apparent gunshot wound. Paramedic’s pronounced the man dead at the scene,” a Norfolk Police spokesperson said. “Detectives have classified this investigation homicide, and will not release man’s identity until a proper next of kin notification is made.”
