RICHMOND, Va. -- Fewer clouds and drier weather will allow highs to get back into the lower 90s Sunday afternoon. Temperatures will be a few degrees hotter on Monday.
A cold front will bring some showers and storms to the area on Tuesday, and this will be followed by a drop in the heat and humidity for Wednesday into Thursday.
However, another dome of heat will spread across the country late in the week. Highs will jump back into the upper 90s next Saturday with some localized 100° readings. A big jump in humidity will cause heat index values to climb above 105°.
