Suspect at large after midday shooting near McDonald’s in Shockoe

RICHMOND, Va. — A suspect is at large after a lunchtime shooting in Shockoe Bottom near the McDonald’s restaurant.

Police received a call for a shooting that had occurred around noon on Friday, but they didn’t find anything at the scene.

Shortly afterward, a man arrived at the hospital and said he was shot near the intersection at 18th and Broad Street.

Police are at the scene and investigating. There are no suspects at this time.
