CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — A driver suffered only minor injuries after he drove off a highway overpass, according to Chesterfield Police.
Investigators said they believed alcohol was a factor in the crash which was reported at about 2 a.m.
The car, investigators said, drove off the Route 288 overpass and landed upside down on Hopkins Road.
The exact cause of the crash remained under investigation.
The driver of the car could be charged pending the outcome of that investigation.
