RICHMOND, Va. – John Ellis, Executive Chef at Kroger remixes the concept of a burger and turns it into a shrimptacular creation. His Shrimp Burgers were on the “Virginia This Morning” menu. You can add this tasty menu item to your next backyard bash.

Shrimp Burgers
1 pound shrimp (21-25 ct) peeled and deveined (1/2 rough chopped and 1/2 fine chopped)
1 cup diced mixture of red, green peppers and red onion (sautéed and chilled)
1 egg
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
1 teaspoon Worcestershire
1 tablespoon Center of the Universe "Pochahoptas" beer
1 tablespoon Old Bay
Juice of 1 lemon
1 and 1/2 cups Reduced Fat Kettle Chips (crumbles)
2 tablespoons seasoned bread crumbs
Salt and pepper
Flour for binding
Combine all wet ingredients. Mix.
Add shrimp and remaining ingredients. Mix.
Add flour to bind.
Form into patties. If too wet add some more flour.
Melt butter and lightly brown on each side in sauté pan.
Finish in oven.
