Traffic backed up on I-195 headed to the Powhite Parkway
RICHMOND, Va. — A crash backed up traffic on the Powhite Parkway headed out of the city Thursday evening.
VDOT reported the Powhite Parkway’s left, left center and right center lanes were closed near Douglasdale Road because of a crash.
Traffic managed to get by in the right lane.
By 5:26 p.m., the roadway’s left center center and right center lanes had reopened. The left lanes remains closed.
At one point traffic was backed up more than four miles. All lanes has reopened by 5:45 p.m. and the backup was clear by about 6:15 p.m.
