RICHMOND, Va. — Dine one last time at La Grotta Ristorante’s Shockoe Slip location before it moves uptown.

The restaurant will even have a special menu to commemorate their 22 year milestone in the Shockoe neighborhood, at 1218 East Cary Street.

The anniversary menu  features Northern Italian cuisine, and includes a 3-course dinner with wine pairing for $55. Entrees include veal scallopini, filet mignon, breast of chicken, filet of sole, shrimp and scallops and homemade pastas.

The menu will be available until July 2, and reservations are recommended.

La Grotta will re-open in August, in the historic Miller & Rhoads building adjacent to East Grace Street’s flourishing restaurant row.

“We invite you to come and celebrate our 22nd anniversary during our last month in Shockoe Slip,” said Antonio Capece, chef-owner of La Grotta. “We have been lucky to be a part of many engagement, celebration, and wedding parties and we want to welcome everyone back to dine with us at our original location one more time before we move. We look forward to welcoming everyone to our new space when we re-open in the historic Miller & Rhoads building on East Broad Street in August.”

Located at 529 East Broad Street, the Miller & Rhoads building is near a booming culinary scene that features restaurants such as Juleps, Pasture, Wong Gonzales and Rappahannock.

At the new location, larger meetings and private parties from 25–150 may be accommodated.
