RICHMOND, Va. – Though most city residents have electricity, a few parks and facilities remain impacted by storm damage.

Bryan Park and Byrd Park are both closed until further notice, due to dangerous downed wires and downed trees in both parks.

The Richmond Vegetarian Festival scheduled for June 25 in Bryan Park has been rescheduled to July 9.

The Battery Park Recreation Center and Pool is closed due to power outage.

Pine Camp Arts and Community Center phone lines are down. Residents with questions concerning City recreation centers can call (804)-646-5733.

On Monday, only four road closures remained, and some some inoperable traffic signals remained.

The East Richmond Road landfill is open and operating on its regular schedule from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Residents are encouraged to bring storm related debris to that location.

However, residents can place yard debris, such as limbs and brush, near their property line at the curb or near the alley for collection. If at all possible, large limbs and trees should be cut into manageable sizes to make the removal process easier and quicker.

Yard debris should not be placed in the street, alley or on the sidewalk.
